About

Laura has her Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Akron. She holds both a Professional Clinical Counselor license and an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist license. Laura has experience working with children and adolescents and their families via intensive home-based services as well as experiences in an outpatient mental health agency. She has also worked as a crisis counselor to assess for need for psychiatric hospitalization. Laura is a certified Level 2 Gottman trained therapist for marital/couples work and is also trained in Emotion Focused therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Prepare/Enrich Curriculum for premarital counseling, and EMDR. Laura enjoys working with clients as young as 5 through adulthood, as well as doing couples and family work.
